Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation. A trained esthetician sweeps a sterile surgical blade gently across the skin to lift away the dull top layer of dead cells along with the fine vellus hair, the "peach fuzz." Skin is smoother and brighter right away, makeup goes on flawlessly, and your serums and moisturizers absorb better afterward.

How Often, and Pairing
Dermaplaning is best done as a series and can safely be repeated about every four weeks, which matches the skin's natural renewal cycle. What to Expect
The treatment is quick and comfortable, just a light scraping sensation, with no recovery. Skin may look a little pink for a short while and is more receptive to both product and sun right afterward, so wear sunscreen. You can wear makeup the same day, and it goes on beautifully.
