HydraFacial Keravive
A scalp treatment for fuller, healthier-looking hair. It cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the scalp and follicles, then sends you home with a spray to keep it going.
What It Is
HydraFacial® Keravive treats the scalp the way a HydraFacial treats the face. Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, and this treatment cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the scalp and hair follicles, clearing away the dead skin, oil, and buildup that crowd them. It is gentle, relaxing, and works for any hair and skin type.
How It Works
The treatment comes in three steps:
- Cleanse and exfoliate. A vortex tip lifts dirt, oil, and impurities from the scalp and follicles.
- Hydrate and nourish. A peptide solution feeds the scalp and follicles to support healthier, thicker-looking hair.
- Extend at home. You take home a daily scalp spray that keeps the nourishment going between visits.
For the best results, the in-office treatment is usually done once a month for three months, with the take-home spray used daily throughout. The appointment itself takes about thirty minutes.
Who It Helps
HydraFacial Keravive suits anyone who wants a healthier scalp. It is worth asking about if you deal with scalp flaking, itchiness, or dryness, if your hair feels thinner from stress or hormonal changes, or if you are preparing for a hair transplant or using treatments like minoxidil, PRP, or laser therapy and want to give them a healthier scalp to work on.
What to Expect
The treatment is painless. You will feel light suction on the scalp and a cooling sensation from the solutions. Some clients notice minor shedding afterward as loose, non-growing hairs let go; that is normal and a sign the scalp is moving toward a healthier state.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is HydraFacial Keravive?
A relaxing scalp treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, nourishes, and hydrates the scalp and hair follicles to promote healthier, fuller-looking hair. It pairs an in-office treatment with a take-home spray that extends the results.
Who is a good candidate?
Just about anyone with a scalp. It is especially worth asking about if you have scalp flaking, itchiness, or dryness, hair that feels thinner from stress or hormones, or if you are preparing for or recovering from hair-loss treatments.
Does it hurt?
No. It is gentle and relaxing. You will feel some light suction and a cooling sensation from the solutions during the treatment.
How long does it take, and how often?
The in-office treatment takes about thirty minutes. For best results it is usually done once a month for three months, with daily use of the take-home spray throughout.
Will it make my hair fall out?
Some clients notice minor shedding as loose, non-growing hairs are lifted. These would have fallen out anyway, and the shedding is a sign the scalp is entering a healthier state.
Can I have it if my hair is color-treated or I have extensions?
Yes. The treatment and the take-home spray are safe for color-treated hair and for bonded or tape-in extensions. We will go over how to use the spray around extensions.
Can I have it if I'm pregnant or nursing?
This treatment has not been studied in pregnant or nursing women, so we do not recommend it during that time.
